Tradeify Prop Firm Review 2026: Three Account Paths and the Progressive Consistency Rule

Tradeify is one of the few futures prop firms that uses End of Day trailing drawdown across every account type. The old intraday trailing model is gone, and that single decision makes it one of the more forgiving firms in the market.

It offers three entry paths. Growth is the cheap one step evaluation. Select is an evaluation that lets you choose your funded payout style afterwards. Lightning Funded skips the evaluation entirely and puts you straight into a simulated funded account.

All funded accounts pay a 90/10 split from the first payout. Pricing is one time rather than monthly.

The cost sits in the consistency rules, and Lightning uses a structure almost nobody else in the industry does: a progressive consistency rule that tightens nothing and loosens over time, starting at 20 percent for your first payout and relaxing to 30 percent by the third.

The Drawdown Is the Reason to Look at This Firm

Tradeify uses End of Day trailing drawdown on every account type, including instant funding. The old intraday trailing model that applied to legacy Advanced accounts has been retired.

Why that matters. At firms using intraday trailing, a trade that runs up 2,000 dollars and comes back to flat has already moved your failure floor up 2,000 dollars. You produced nothing and permanently lost that room. End of Day logic ignores intraday movement entirely. The floor only updates based on your closing balance.

Tradeify’s own documentation puts it plainly: intraday fluctuations do not move the drawdown level, because it updates only at the end of the day.

One detail worth understanding properly. The floor updates at the close, but it is enforced in real time during the session. Those are two different things and the distinction trips people up.

What it means in practice: today’s floor was set by yesterday’s closing balance, and if your equity touches that floor intraday the account breaches immediately. Today’s profit does not raise the floor until the close, and today’s intraday giveback does not lower your room either. You are trading against a fixed line all session, which is exactly what you want.

The lock

Once an End of Day balance exceeds your starting balance by the drawdown amount plus 100 dollars, the trailing stops permanently and the floor fixes at your starting balance plus 100 dollars.

On a 50,000 dollar account with a 2,000 dollar drawdown, that means closing a day above roughly 52,100 dollars locks your floor at 50,100 dollars for good.

The strategy that follows. The difficult phase is the beginning, not the whole account. Size conservatively, close green days, and treat the lock as the point where normal trading starts. Traders who fail here usually fail before the lock, sizing as though they have the room the balance suggests. During the trailing phase the balance is not your room. The distance to the floor is.

We cover all three drawdown structures on thecomparisons hub, andChapter 06 on margin and survival covers the risk maths.

The Daily Loss Limit Is a Soft Breach

This is a genuinely trader friendly design and it deserves attention.

Hitting the daily loss limit at Tradeify pauses trading for the day. It does not fail the account. You resume the next session, provided your maximum trailing drawdown has not been hit.

At most firms a daily loss breach is terminal. Here it functions as a forced stop, which is exactly what it should be. For any trader whose worst sessions come from trying to trade back a loss, this is worth more than a better profit split.

The daily loss limit also changes as the account grows. On funded accounts it rises to a drawdown sized amount once profit reaches 6 percent, rather than being removed entirely. The 25K Lightning account carries no daily loss limit at all.

The Three Account Paths

Growth Evaluation

The cheapest entry. A one step evaluation with a profit target, End of Day trailing drawdown and a minimum trading day requirement that can be as low as one day. No consistency rule during the evaluation.

Once funded, Growth accounts carry a 35 percent consistency rule and payouts run on a cycle of five profitable trading days. Those days must each clear a size based profit threshold, commonly 150 dollars on a 50K account, 200 dollars on 100K and 250 dollars on 150K.

Important detail: the trading day count resets to zero after each successful payout. Plan your cadence around that.

Who it suits: cost conscious traders who profit steadily across sessions.

Select Evaluation

A one step evaluation carrying a 40 percent consistency rule during the evaluation only. Minimum three trading days.

The distinguishing feature is what happens after you pass. You choose your funded payout policy once, between Flex and Daily. Once funded, there is no consistency rule.

The honest read on Daily. Daily payouts sound attractive and the trade off is tighter payout policy rules. Faster access to money is worth less than most traders assume, and the stricter rules attached to it are worth more than they look. Think carefully before taking Daily purely for the speed.

Who it suits: traders who want no consistency rule on the funded account and are willing to pay more and clear a 40 percent rule during the evaluation to get there.

Lightning Funded, formerly Straight to Funded

No evaluation. Buy the account and you are in a simulated funded account immediately. No minimum days to enter, no resets.

Note on the name. Tradeify previously called these Straight to Funded accounts. The product was renamed to Lightning Funded, and both the name and some of the rules changed. If you are reading older guides about Straight to Funded, the rules in them are probably out of date.

Lightning carries the progressive consistency rule covered below, and a tighter drawdown than the evaluation paths relative to account size.

Who it suits: traders with a proven process who do not want to prove it again, and who can work inside a 20 percent consistency rule on the first payout.

How instant funding compares across the industry is covered on theinstant funding hub, and the evaluation paths on theone step evaluation hub.

Lightning Funded Position Limits

From Tradeify’s own documentation:

Account Daily loss limit Trailing max drawdown Max position
25K None 1,000 dollars 1 mini or 10 micros
50K 1,250 dollars 2,000 dollars 4 minis or 40 micros
100K 2,500 dollars 4,000 dollars 8 minis or 80 micros
150K See verification note below See verification note below 12 minis or 120 micros

Read the drawdown column against the account size. A 4,000 dollar drawdown on a 100,000 dollar account is 4 percent. The notional account size is not your risk budget, and sizing as though it is will end the account during the trailing phase.

Micro contracts are what make these numbers workable. A micro carries roughly one tenth the tick value of the equivalent mini, so 80 micros on a 100K account allows genuine position sizing within a 4,000 dollar floor.Chapter 05 andChapter 10 cover sizing, andCME Group publishes contract specifications including tick values.

The Progressive Consistency Rule

This is the most interesting rule at Tradeify and almost nobody explains it correctly.

On Lightning Funded accounts the consistency requirement loosens as you take payouts:

  • First payout: no single day may exceed 20 percent of total profit
  • Second payout: 25 percent
  • Third payout and beyond: 30 percent

The arithmetic on the first payout. A 20 percent cap means your best day must be under one fifth of total profit. If your best day made 1,000 dollars, you need 5,000 dollars in total profit before that payout is eligible. That is the strictest first payout consistency requirement of any firm we cover.

Why the structure makes sense. The firm’s exposure is highest on a brand new instant funded account it has never seen trade. Tightening the first payout and relaxing afterwards prices that risk honestly, rather than applying one flat rule forever.

Why it still costs you. 20 percent is demanding. It effectively requires five or more meaningful green days before any withdrawal, and it rules out the approach of getting funded, catching one strong session and withdrawing. If that was your plan, this firm will not allow it.

How to trade inside it. Once a single day has produced an outsized result relative to your running total, stop. The ratio only improves by adding profit on other sessions, and pressing a hot day makes it worse. Treat a large day as a signal to close the platform.

Accounts purchased before 12 September 2025 retain a flat 20 percent rule rather than the progressive structure. If you hold an older account, the rules you bought under may still apply.

Growth funded accounts use a flat 35 percent instead, and Select has none once funded.

Payouts

Split: 90/10 in the trader’s favour from the first payout. No scaling period before reaching it, which is better than firms starting at 70 or 80 percent.

Minimum request: 1,000 dollars on Lightning. Growth minimums scale with account size.

Processing: Tradeify states payouts are issued within 24 hours, extending to as much as 72 hours for requests made outside business hours.

Caps: per request maximum caps apply, scaling with account size and payout number.

The eligibility gate is what matters, not the processing speed. On Lightning you need to clear a profit goal plus the progressive consistency rule plus a minimum trading day requirement between payouts. Those conditions, not the 24 hour processing window, determine when money actually reaches you.

One Time Pricing

Tradeify charges a one time fee rather than a monthly subscription. This matters more than it sounds.

At subscription firms, a trader who takes six weeks to pass pays two or three billing cycles, and the pressure to trade faster than your edge allows is a real cause of failure rather than a theoretical one. A one time fee removes the clock entirely.

Lightning accounts also carry no resets, which is the trade off. Fail a Lightning account and you buy again rather than resetting cheaply.

Ourcomparisons hub is built around total cost to a first payout rather than entry price, which is the comparison that matters against subscription firms.

Where Tradeify Scores Well and Where It Does Not

Scores well: End of Day trailing drawdown on every account type including instant funding, a drawdown that locks permanently, a soft breach daily loss limit that pauses rather than fails, 90/10 split from the first payout, one time pricing with no monthly clock, three genuinely different entry paths, no consistency rule on funded Select accounts, and documented payout processing windows.

Scores less well: a 20 percent first payout consistency rule on Lightning that is the strictest we have seen, no resets on Lightning, tight drawdown relative to notional account size, per request payout caps, a trading day counter that resets after every payout on Growth, and documentation that contradicts itself on the 150K parameters.

Requires verification before publishing: the 150K Lightning daily loss limit and drawdown (see below), Growth and Select profit targets and pricing by size, exact payout caps by size and payout number, the Flex versus Daily policy details on Select, and platform support.

The 150K Documentation Conflict

Worth its own section because it is a real problem and no competitor review handles it properly.

Tradeify’s own documentation gives different figures for the 150K account depending on which page you read. Independent sources have flagged the daily loss limit appearing as both 3,000 and 3,750 dollars, and the trailing drawdown appearing as both 5,250 and 6,000 dollars across different Tradeify pages.

Part of this is legitimate. Accounts purchased before a dashboard change retain their original parameters, so two sets of numbers genuinely coexist. But at least one Tradeify page has not been updated to reflect the newer figures, which means a reader can land on the wrong number in good faith.

What to do about it. If you are buying a 150K Lightning account, get the current daily loss limit and drawdown confirmed in writing from support before purchasing, and keep the reply. Do not rely on any page, including this one, for those two figures.

We score documentation consistency under rule clarity on thehow we score and rank firms page, and this is a deduction.

Who Should Choose Tradeify

Traders who want End of Day drawdown on instant funding. This combination is rare. Most instant funding products carry the tightest drawdown a firm offers, and Tradeify does not.

Traders who need a daily loss limit that does not kill the account. The soft breach design is one of the best features of any firm we cover.

Traders who want 90 percent immediately. No scaling period to get there.

Traders who take their time. One time pricing with no monthly clock.

Traders who profit across many sessions. Both the 20 percent Lightning rule and the 35 percent Growth rule reward a flat profit distribution.

Who Should Look Elsewhere

Anyone whose profit concentrates into one or two strong sessions. The 20 percent first payout rule on Lightning is the strictest in this category and will block you repeatedly.

Traders who want a static drawdown from day one. The floor locks eventually but you trade through a trailing phase first.

Traders who expect cheap resets. Lightning has none.

Traders buying a 150K Lightning account without confirming the parameters. See the documentation conflict above.

Compare Tradeify Against Other Firms

Tradeify versus Funding Ticks andTradeify versus E8 Futures put this firm against two commonly shortlisted alternatives.

On mechanism, the closest comparisons areAlpha Futures andBulenox, both of which also lock the drawdown permanently once it reaches the starting balance.AquaFutures andBlue Guardian both use End of Day drawdown with a flat consistency rule, which makes them the better contrast on the progressive structure.

Every futures prop firm we score is compared on the same factors, the full review set is on thefutures prop firms directory, and thetwo step hub covers the model Tradeify does not use.

What You Are Actually Buying

Tradeify accounts are simulated. The firm states this, and payouts on simulated profits are real money paid from the firm.

A prop firm evaluation or instant funding payment is generally a service fee for access to a trading programme, not a deposit into a regulated brokerage account held in segregation. TheCFTC customer protection resources explain what regulated futures customer funds protection actually covers.Chapter 04 on how futures prop trading works covers the model from the beginning.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is Tradeify legit?
Tradeify publishes its drawdown mechanics, consistency rules, position limits and payout policies in its own help documentation, and states openly that accounts are simulated. That level of disclosure is above the industry norm, though some pages contain figures that conflict with others and should be confirmed with support.

2. What drawdown does Tradeify use?
Tradeify uses End of Day trailing drawdown on all account types, including Lightning Funded instant accounts. The floor updates only on the closing balance, so intraday fluctuations do not move it. The older intraday trailing model used on legacy Advanced accounts has been retired.

3. Does the Tradeify drawdown lock?
Yes. Once an End of Day balance exceeds the starting balance by the drawdown amount plus 100 dollars, the trailing stops permanently and the floor fixes at the starting balance plus 100 dollars. This makes the trailing phase temporary rather than permanent.

4. Is the Tradeify drawdown enforced intraday?
The floor updates only at the close but is enforced in real time during the session. That means today’s floor was set by yesterday’s closing balance, and touching it intraday breaches the account, while today’s intraday giveback does not reduce available room further.

5. What are Tradeify payout rules?
Payouts require clearing the applicable consistency rule plus a minimum trading day requirement. Lightning accounts require a 1,000 dollar minimum request and progressive consistency. Growth accounts run on cycles of five profitable trading days, each clearing a size based profit threshold.

6. What is the Tradeify consistency rule?
It depends on the account. Lightning Funded accounts use a progressive rule of 20 percent for the first payout, 25 percent for the second and 30 percent from the third onward. Growth funded accounts use a flat 35 percent, and funded Select accounts have none.

7. What is Tradeify Lightning Funded?
Lightning Funded is Tradeify’s instant funding product. There is no evaluation, no minimum days to enter and no resets. Traders are placed directly into a simulated funded account and begin working toward payout eligibility immediately under the progressive consistency rule.

8. What happened to Tradeify Straight to Funded?
Straight to Funded was the earlier name for what Tradeify now calls Lightning Funded. The product was renamed and some rules changed alongside it, so older guides describing Straight to Funded rules are likely to be out of date.

9. What is the difference between Growth, Select and Lightning?
Growth is the cheapest one step evaluation with no entry consistency rule and 35 percent once funded. Select carries a 40 percent evaluation rule but no consistency once funded, and lets you choose a payout policy. Lightning skips the evaluation entirely with progressive consistency.

10. Does Tradeify have a daily loss limit?
Most accounts carry one, and crucially it is a soft breach. Hitting it pauses trading for the remainder of the day rather than failing the account, and trading resumes the next session provided the maximum trailing drawdown has not been hit.

11. What is the Tradeify profit split?
Tradeify pays a 90/10 split in the trader’s favour from the very first payout. There is no scaling period or payout count requirement before reaching 90 percent, which compares favourably with firms starting traders at 70 or 80 percent.

12. How fast does Tradeify pay out?
Tradeify states that payouts are issued within 24 hours, extending to as much as 72 hours for requests submitted outside business hours. The eligibility conditions rather than the processing window determine the realistic timeline to receiving money.

13. Does Tradeify charge monthly fees?
Tradeify uses one time pricing rather than a monthly subscription, which removes the time pressure that causes traders at subscription firms to trade faster than their edge allows. Lightning accounts carry no resets, which is the corresponding trade off.

14. What is the minimum payout at Tradeify?
The minimum payout request on Lightning Funded accounts is 1,000 dollars. Growth account minimums scale with account size. Per request maximum caps also apply and increase with account size and payout number.

15. Are there resets at Tradeify?
Lightning Funded accounts have no resets, meaning a failed account must be repurchased. Reset availability on the Growth and Select evaluation paths should be confirmed on the current terms, since reset policy varies by product.

16. What is the Tradeify 150K drawdown?
Tradeify’s own pages give conflicting figures for the 150K Lightning account, with the daily loss limit appearing as both 3,000 and 3,750 dollars and the drawdown as both 5,250 and 6,000 dollars. Accounts purchased before a dashboard change retain original parameters, so confirmation in writing is essential.

17. Is Tradeify good for beginners?
The End of Day drawdown and soft breach daily loss limit are genuinely beginner friendly, and the Growth path is inexpensive. The 20 percent first payout consistency rule on Lightning is demanding, so newer traders are generally better served by Growth than by instant funding.

18. Can I hold positions overnight at Tradeify?
Several sources describe the End of Day drawdown structure as swing friendly, since intraday movement does not affect the floor. Overnight and weekend holding permissions should be confirmed directly against the current terms for the specific account type being purchased.

19. How many accounts can I have at Tradeify?
Lightning Funded accounts have historically been limited to five per trader. Because account limits across this industry change frequently and have been reduced at several firms, the current limit should be confirmed before building a multi account strategy.

20. Is Tradeify better than firms with intraday trailing drawdown?
On drawdown mechanism, yes. End of Day logic does not penalise traders for unrealised profit given back during a session, and the permanent lock makes the trailing phase temporary. The strict first payout consistency rule on Lightning is the offsetting cost.

Final Verdict

Score required before publishing.

Tradeify made the right call on the rule that matters most. End of Day trailing drawdown across every product, including instant funding, plus a floor that locks permanently, plus a daily loss limit that pauses rather than kills the account, is a better risk structure than most of this industry offers.

The 90/10 split from the first payout and one time pricing with no monthly clock are both genuinely good.

The cost is the 20 percent first payout consistency rule on Lightning, which is the strictest we have seen anywhere, and documentation that contradicts itself on the 150K parameters.

Take Growth if you want cheap and steady. Take Select if you want no consistency rule once funded. Take Lightning only if your profit spreads across five or more sessions, because the first payout will not clear otherwise.
